Much like the rest of Omega’s horizontal range, the MM900 is a very capable juicer which will excel in most circumstances, though it does have a notable advantage over the rest.
Iterating on the excellent 8007 and 8008 models, the MM900 is optimised for juicing celery and other leafy greens thanks to its pressure-adjustable celery nozzle. Its performance in this regard is unbeaten compared to other models in this price range and has earned the MM900 a well-deserved recommendation from the Medical Medium.
Triple-stage masticating extraction ensures a high yield and maximum nutrients. This is further enhanced by the powerful 2HP motor and the slow (80RPM) rotational speed of the augur, minimising the heat and oxidants generated during the juicing process.
In addition to the Ultem plastic augur and the BPA-free juicing components, the MM900 also has a large feed-chute and built-in handle for maximum convenience. The components are also dishwasher safe (top shelf) and are therefore very easy to clean.
A standard pressure-adjustable nozzle is included, and this is best suited to juicing softer ingredients. The highlight, however, is the pressure-adjustable celery nozzle which can apply additional pressure which is crucial in extracting juice from those notoriously tough fibrous ingredients such as celery, kale, spinach and wheatgrass.
This ensures a better yield and more nutrients – no small feat when it comes to leafy greens. In fact, the Medical Medium has officially endorsed the MM900, citing that “there’s not another juicer on the market that can extract the juice out of celery like this one does”.
