new at slow juicing? To my opinion is the Hurom H-AI with self feeding a very good compromise between preparing the fruits and spare time to feed the juicer.
Hurom are experts in making juicers incredibly user-friendly and they have gone one step further with the H-AI. The most noticeable feature of the H-AI is the self-feeding chamber, which allows you to fill the chamber up with ingredients and then juice by itself. This will allow you to walk away and get to the more important tasks in your kitchen.
With a much more space-efficient design the H-AI has the pulp outlet under the juicing chamber which aligns with the body of the juicer allowing for more room on your kitchen counter. Not only does it take up less space, but it produces less waste with the help of the degree tilt in the juice flap which collects every last drop of juice.
The H-AI has a smart hopper where you can insert all of your ingredients at once and it will juice by itself. This means no more waiting for each ingredient to juice before you can add another ingredient. The added mixing bar rotates and cuts ingredients up in the new hopper, so you don't have to worry about blockages. Your chopped ingredients will then be pushed down into the juicing chamber with no need of a juicing pusher.
With many juicers, the pulp container is situated to the side of the juicer, which is an inconvenience as it takes up well-needed space. With the H-AI the pulp container is situated directly under the juicing container which neatly aligns with the body of the juicer making it space effective. As the pulp is now being pushed out vertically, you are much less likely to get pulp build up within the pulp shoot which makes cleaning that little easier. There is also a control lever, which lets the user adjust the width of the pulp outlet, allowing for a more efficient juice extraction between different ingredients.
The juicing chamber has been updated to have an inbuilt hex connector which helps assembling the double winged auger. The alpha plus auger has been designed to increase the volume of extraction with a squeezing intensity that leaves less pulp and minimises nutrient loss due to exposure to oxygen. The new and improved spinning brush now rotates at 17 RPM powered by a small cog in the juicing chamber which allows more efficient extraction due to increased contact time and less froth.
Once again Hurom have thought about usability and have created a removable cog to help the cleaning process as well as a very small but effective design modification in the juice flap. With a 3 degree tilt in the juice flap, you know that every last drop of your juice has been collected. This means less waste and more juice for you and your family.
The H-AE will make juicing in your kitchen quick and convenient with simple features such as the self-feeding hopper and the degree tilt in the juice flap. If we take a closer look at the exterior of the H-AE, there is an On/off rotating dial which helps you have complete control over your juice.
All Hurom juicers are 100% BPA free and feature no blades or sharp parts, making them safe even for children to use. As the H-AI is a vertical masticating juicer, we would usually say it's best for soft fruits, but with all of the Hurom vertical juicers, they are actually powerful enough to juice hard fruit and veg as well as leafy greens.
