The Easygreen uses a patented technology to avoid mould or rotting by combining mist and oxygen simultaneously to the seeds. This cools the seeds water and air as seeds generate chemical heat during germination which often is the main reason why they tend to rot.
There is a removable cover which simply lifts on and off for easier access to your produce and no longer restricts height for growing sprouts such as wheatgrass.
The green shaded lid helps grow sprouts with reduced light in the early stages and then you can simply remove it to allow more light to green up your sprouts. With the old system, you had to cover the growing area or keep the unit somewhat darker, now the green lid does it for you. It’s also made from BPA free plastic.
With Easygreen you can quickly add minerals and other feeds to the water which is a great customisable feature. With each watering cycle Easygreen will deliver fresh water each time unlike other sprouters which tend to use the same recycled water, which can lead to poor results. Because there is no recycling of water the Easygreen eliminates the problem of clogging of jets or nozzles and is much more hygienic.
