These filters (color, of course, is your own choice) are great at catching all those particles that you see floating in the air around you (and consequently breathe in). They are washable and hooverable. I have 2, so that when one is being washed, I can have the other on the purifier. The one caution I will give is that when you decide you are going to remove the filter, do it outside, as otherwise everything that is has caught will be thrown back into the air again.
