The 7 Deadly Sins of Using a Juicer

Are you a juiceaholic? Well there are certainly worse things you could be! Even still, you can probably relate to some of the seven deadly sins of using a juicer. Have a read through and see how many you’re guilty of!

1)Lust

You’ve not long had your juicer but you’re already looking for your next upgrade. This is all too common in the world of juicing! New models are getting bought out all of the time, so it’s hard not to lust after the new releases that offer an array of useful features. But if your current juicer is still working well, maybe it’s not time for a new juicer just yet. Put one on your Christmas list instead!

2) Wrath

New to juicing? Try not to get frustrated if your juice doesn’t turn out how you’d hoped. Unless you’re going to follow strict recipes, you’re bound to find that some of your creations are better than others. Keep experimenting and you’ll soon get an idea of what works and what doesn’t.

Sometimes the simplest juices are the best tasting ones. Don’t go over the top or get too greedy with your ingredients.

3) Gluttony

Although most juicers can hold a good few ingredients, try not to get too carried away. With juices, it’s often a case of the simpler the better! Don’t go over the top with your ingredients or you could end up spoiling the taste of your juices.

4) Sloth

Juicing is a lot of fun but cleaning up afterwards, not so much. The good news is that the majority of juicers are really easy to clean, so there’s no need to be lazy. If you’re making a number of juices at one time, you can simply rinse the parts under tap water for the horizontal masticating juicers and with the vertical masticating juicers, you can just allow a cup of water to rinse through the juicing bowl.

Don’t be a sloth - take the time to clean your juicer to keep it in tiptop condition.

5) Greed

Drinking too much fruit/leafy green juice can be bad for your teeth! Try changing things up by making some vegetable juices and mixing fruits and vegetables. They’ll contain plenty of nutrients but won’t have the same effect on your pearly whites.

6) Envy

It’s all too easy to get jealous of someone else’s juicing skills but try not to let it bother you! Instead of feeling envious that your partner, friend or even someone on your Facebook makes better looking juices than you, put more effort into making your own juices even better. After all, practice makes perfect.

7) Pride

If you keep trying to create your own juices only to find they don’t taste as great as you hoped, then maybe its time to consult the experts. Don’t be too proud to seek a little guidance from a recipe book or even the Internet. Once you’ve learnt the basics of juicing, you’ll be able to get back to experimenting but with much more success!

People are really into juicing these days, however, it is important not to juice because it’s the trendy thing to do right now, juice because it’s something you enjoy, want to do and want to feel better! You will feel truly invigorated after taking in the essential nutrients in their most raw and natural form.
