Fresh & Nutritious Spring Juice Recipes

We’re halfway through Spring and at last the sun is showing and life is growing. Therefore, it’s a great time to get out an explore the seasonable ingredients that can be found in this fresh and bright time of year. As you may expect Spring is a great time for leafy greens, which all serve as a great source of nutrients for your body. However, they aren’t the only ingredients about and you should also keep an eye out for carrots, apples and celery amongst a host of other easily accessed fruit and vegetables.

To help you enjoy your juicing as some hot weather approaches, we’ve put 3 tasty juice recipes together to make use of some of our favourite spring ingredients. Each has a unique but delicious flavour and they all offer a range of nutritious perks that your body will love.

Spicy Carrot Juice

Carrots are a great source of carotenoids, which provide an antioxidant service to the body. The consumption of these antioxidants helps to reduce the risks of catching an illness and helps to bolster the immune system, keeping it healthy and strong.

Spicy Carrot Juice

Ingredients:

  • 3 Carrots
  • 3 Oranges
  • 1 Inch of Ginger
  • 2 Celery Stalks
  • 1 tbsp. of Ground Paprika

Zingy and zesty, this very bright juice has great flavour and is definitely one to be enjoyed. If you want, you can add some other ingredients to the mix to add to the nutritional value of the juice. However, be sure not to stray too far away as the original flavour of the juice is worth maintaining.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Handful of Kale
  • 1 Handful of Spinach
  • 1 Carrot
  • 2 Apples
  • ¼ Handful of Mint Leaves
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1 Celery Stalk

This recipe has an incredibly fresh kick and it truly tastes of Spring. If leafy greens aren’t to your tastes it is probably wise to add more carrot and apple, but the nutrients and vitamins gained from them more than counterbalance their taste.

Citrus Beet Juice

Beetroots offer excellent value when included as part of a juice. For starters they are carbohydrates, so they serve as an ideal source of energy to fuel the body, keeping it energised through the day. On top of that, they also help to purify and filter blood while cleansing key organs like the liver and kidneys.

Ingredients:

  • 3 Beetroots
  • 2 Grapefruits
  • 1 Orange
  • ½ Lemon
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Carrot

This recipe is a great way to try juicing beets if you’ve not done so before as the citrus ingredients help to balance out their earthy flavour. The combination leads to a smooth and balanced juice that is palatable and offers a variety of health benefits.
